Reg Narmour

Born in Mosheim, Texas in 1938, Reg Narmour moved to Lubbock in 1952 and graduated from Monterey High School in 1956. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University in 1963 before beginning a long career in the field. After a decade of apprenticeship in Seattle, he established his own architectural practice in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he worked for forty years before retiring in 2007.

In 2012, Narmour returned to Lubbock, where he continues to pursue his passion for painting. Working primarily in watercolor and acrylics, his art reflects a deep connection to landscape and place. His work has been recognized with awards from the West Texas Watercolor Society, the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, and The Bosque Art Classic.

Today, Narmour’s paintings are represented by Broadway Contemporary Art Gallery in Lubbock and are included in the permanent collection of the Bosque Art Gallery. Beyond his artistic achievements, he is a husband, father of three, and proud grandfather and great-grandfather.
