I am a local Lubbock artist who is a full-time Assistant Professor of Fine Arts and Gallery Director at South Plains College. I create my work throughout my spare time as an Artist in Residence at CASP Work Studios, Work Studio A. I love the idea of inviting the public into my working space so they can enjoy seeing the process of my paintings. First Friday Art Trail is always a thrill and a joy to meet new people and share what I do in Lubbock! I am trying to bridge the gap between painting and dance through a unique abstracted experience. Through my studio space, I can paint on the floor, have finished pieces on the walls, and even host live performances to enhance the interdisciplinary process my work strives for!
In 2012 I completed my BFA in Studio Art from Texas Tech University, and in 2015 completed my MFA with a focus in painting and a secondary in printmaking also from Texas Tech University. I recently moved to the country into our forever home with my husband Scott, and my son Luke. We love to cook, garden, and relax on our patio.
